A walking event is held in Kumamura, which was severely damaged by the July 2020 heavy rain, where you can experience the steps of reconstruction. On the regular course, you can see up close the bridges under construction, damaged stations, and the progress of elevation. You can feel the 'now' of Kumamura, where reconstruction is progressing, while actually walking. Also, on the storyteller course (limited to 10 people) where you move by bus, you visit the washed-away Sagara Bridge and the site of Watari Elementary School Senjuen. On site, you can hear directly about the situation at the time and personal experiences, making it a valuable opportunity.
