Horikiri Pass in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, the wave-like rocks called 'Oni no Sentakuita' along the coastline, and the phoenix tree-lined street, one of the most magnificent landscapes of the Nichinan Coast. It is also popular as a famous spot for mountain cherry blossoms. The collaboration of the blue sea, blue sky, and cherry blossoms is unique to southern countries. The best time to view cherry blossoms is usually from early to mid-March.
