Cherry trees are planted along both banks of the Mitoya River, which flows parallel to National Route 54, over approximately 2 km. About 700 Yoshino cherry, about 230 double-flowered cherry, and about 170 gyoiko add spring colors. Gyoiko, which blooms pale green flowers, is rare even nationwide. It blooms about two weeks after Yoshino cherry and peaks around late April, so you can enjoy hanami for a long time at the cherry blossom rows along the Mitoya River.
