Hirosaki Park dazzles with 52 varieties and about 2,600 cherry trees — Somei Yoshino, weeping cherry, double-petaled cherry, and more — creating a magnificent contrast with the ancient pines. At night, illuminated blossoms reflected on the castle moat create a dreamlike atmosphere. Enjoy the 'Hirosaki Sakura Shichikei' (seven scenic views recommended by the park's cherry guardian), the 'Hirosaki Shichi-zakura' (seven selected double-petaled varieties), and the 'Hirosaki Shichirin-zaki-zakura' (trees that bloom with seven flowers from a single bud).
