The 'Flower Relay' announcing the arrival of spring starts at the nature-rich 'Hitachi Seaside Park,' boasting an open area of about 237 hectares. First, from late March to mid-April, about 1 million daffodils of about 100 varieties can be enjoyed; from mid-April to late April, 280,000 colorful tulips of 320 varieties decorate the forest into a fairy-tale space. Then from mid-April to early May, about 5.3 million nemophilas, and from mid-May to early June, roses, the flower of Ibaraki Prefecture, will bloom. During 'Flowering 2026,' various events such as tulip guided tours and nature observation experiences will be held.
