Ebine (Japanese ground orchid) sparked a passionate nationwide craze in the late Showa era, especially the 1950s. Since then, selective breeding has advanced remarkably, producing flowers of luxurious elegance that rival exotic orchids. Visitors can enjoy not only the vivid flower colors but also the gentle, sweet fragrance. This exhibition brings together approximately 200 potted ebine grown by members of the Shikoku Ebine Society, showcasing a world of color and fragrance that has captivated orchid enthusiasts worldwide.
