During the cherry blossom season at Shizukuishi Riverside Park, approximately 100 koinobori (carp streamers) are flown. Listening to the babbling of the Shizukuishi River, visitors enjoy the sight of koinobori swimming gracefully alongside approximately 150 Somei-yoshino cherry trees lining the lakeside park overlooking Lake Gosho. Though planted as saplings about 30 years ago, the park draws many visitors each spring.
