Asahiyama Park was opened in 1909 (Meiji 42) to commemorate the Crown Prince's (later Emperor Taisho) Hokuriku tour. From its observation deck, you can have a panoramic view of the city area, of course, the connecting north and south coastlines, and the breathtakingly wonderful view from the Noto Peninsula floating on the tidal route to the Tateyama mountain range. Within the 25,000 square meter park at 42 meters above sea level, cherry trees are planted, and they are known as one of the prefecture's leading cherry blossom spots for their splendor. Gourmet such as Himi Sanmai Gozen (reservation required) and Himi udon are also available.
