A fossil excavation experience is held at a plaza near where the Wakayama Soryu was discovered. You might even find a Wakayama Soryu! Capacity: 25 participants per session. Reservations accepted by phone from April 1. What is Wakayama Soryu? A common name for the mosasaur discovered at Toshiro Castle Mountain in Aridagawa Town in 2006. Features include forward-facing eyes, a dorsal fin, and large flippers. It was the first mosasaur discovery in the world with a possible dorsal fin, and was recognized as a new genus and species.
