The Oi Kiln site group in Matsue City was a major factory that managed Sue pottery production throughout Izumo from the Kofun period to the Heian period. Many 'failed pieces' are also excavated from the Sue pottery kiln sites. This exhibition gathers many 'failed pieces' and approaches the trial and error of the people who made Sue pottery.
