Takehisa Yumeji marked his 140th birthday and 90th death anniversary in 2024. His evaluation as a master in modern Japanese art history is now unshakable, and retrospective exhibitions are held in various places. This exhibition introduces the urban life, modern landscapes, and the world of avant-garde and play depicted by Showa-era painters and printmakers including Kawanishi Hide and Onchi Koshiro, who admired Yumeji, along with works by Yumeji who was loved by a wide range of people as a star of the modern popular culture era of the Taisho period.
