At Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts and Culture, a special exhibition will be held introducing the charm of Hyakunin Isshu from both pictures and calligraphy, displaying paintings depicting poets and calligraphy of waka poems including Hyakunin Isshu. Attention is also drawn to works being shown for the first time, such as the 'Hyakunin Isshu Gajo' thought to have been produced in the mid-Edo period. The annual competitive karuta tournament 'Chihayafuru Ogurayama Cup,' held at the museum since 2021, will be held for the seventh time this year and can be viewed during the exhibition period.
