The University of Tokyo Historiographical Institute is an institution that researches historical materials (old documents, records, etc.) up to the Meiji Restoration. In this exhibition, the first co-hosted event with the Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History, in addition to displaying holdings such as the "Shimazu Family Documents" (National Treasure) and the "Hashiba Hideyoshi Keiseibun" (first public display), it introduces its work and role, including recent new developments.
