This weeping cherry tree, which spreads widely along the approach to Mitani Shrine, has a chest-height circumference of 2.47m, height of 12.5m, and branch span of 18.2m east-west and 20.2m north-south. Estimated at 280 years old, but its vitality is excellent with no withered branches visible. Thin branches droop from 3 main branches, and in full bloom, it produces magnificently lovely flowers.
