A specialized museum dedicated to ceramics. It collects and exhibits ceramics from the Hizen region, ceramics from across Kyushu, and works by contemporary ceramic artists. Of particular note is the Kanbara Collection of Ko-Imari and the Shibata Collection of Edo-period Arita ware. Outside, there are 25 bells made of Meissen porcelain, whose beautiful tones provide a soothing moment unique to a ceramic town (performed at every hour). Also pay attention to the cherry blossoms surrounding the museum and the cute wildflowers at your feet.
