Seishiro Yada was born in Enya-cho, Izumo City, went to Tokyo in Taisho 8, studied under Kazunori Ishibashi from Sada-cho, Izumo City, and learned Western-style and Japanese-style painting. In Taisho 11, he entered Tokyo Fine Arts School (now Tokyo University of the Arts) and made his first selection at the 7th Teiten. After the war, he was involved in founding the Izumo Art Research Institute and forming the Shimane Kokufukai, contributing to the development of Western-style painting in Shimane. This exhibition is held on the occasion of receiving valuable works by Seishiro Yada donated by his bereaved family.
