About 4,000 cherry trees of about 45 varieties are planted throughout the southern foothills of Mt. Myogi, one of Japan's three magnificent mountains. At Sakura no Sato, Somei Yoshino bloom in early April, and from mid April many varieties of cherry blossoms including double-flowered cherry bloom in profusion. The about 47-hectare grounds of Sakura no Sato are equipped with walking paths and rest areas so you can tour around, allowing you to enjoy hiking while viewing cherry blossoms.
