About 150 kilns and trading companies from the town set up stalls, drawing many shoppers and pottery fans. Items are available at 30-40% off regular prices, and browsing for pottery while chatting with vendors is a special pleasure unique to a pottery festival. Experience corners offering casting and painting (paid) unique to the pottery production area of Hasami Town are also prepared. A lottery for purchasers is also held. Sales take place under large tents, so shopping can be enjoyed even in rainy weather.
