Kanchogai-dori (Koma Kaido) in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, is selected as one of Japan's '100 Best Roads.' Over 156 cherry trees bloom along 1.1 kilometers, creating a beautiful contrast with 165 pine trees lining the avenue. The trees are mainly Somei Yoshino, but a wide variety of cherry trees can be enjoyed, including Jidai Akebono, Kanzan, Yamazakura, Beni-shidare, and Minezakura. The street features horse sculptures inspired by Towada City as 'Hometown of the Horse' and various contemporary artworks centered on the Towada Art Center, further enhancing the beauty of the cherry blossoms.
