Two days when artists representing Japan gather in Niigata. The event features 18 ticketed performances including folk song stages, Japanese taiko drumming, rakugo, rokyoku, Buddhist chanting, and regional music and performing arts, as well as free performances including a high school ikebana exhibition and dharma talks. By providing commentary for every performance, this grand event makes it easy to hop between different traditional Japanese arts — often seen as intimidating or difficult to understand — so that anyone can enjoy them casually.
