On day 2 (Eve Festival), hikiyama floats are drawn through each neighborhood at dusk and festival music plays late into the night by lantern light. On day 3 (Main Festival), three elaborately decorated portable shrines and over ten hikiyama floats parade to Mami-oka Watamuki Shrine. It is a representative spring festival of Shiga Prefecture Koto region, designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Shiga Prefecture.
