Hyoutan Pond is a regulating reservoir dug down to be used for agricultural water in the early Showa period, and is still used for rice paddies. The promenade and waterside stairs are maintained, and it is loved by citizens. Around 1955, 88 Yoshino cherry trees were planted in honor of Oshikoku-san (Shikoku 88 Sacred Places), and every spring you can enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom. The view reflected on the water surface is breathtaking!
