More than 20 varieties and about 2,000 cherry trees, including kanzakura, Somei Yoshino, and the nationally designated natural monument Omura-zakura which blooms in double layers, come into full bloom one after another until around mid-April, attracting many hanami visitors every year. The profusion of blooming cherry trees is truly spectacular. There is also nighttime illumination, allowing visitors to enjoy the fantastical night blossoms. Taking photos of the blossoms with the Itajiki Turret in the background is also recommended.
