The Demachi district continues the tradition of Children's Kabuki, one of only 8 remaining in Japan. The festival originated when Children's Kabuki was dedicated to the Demachi Shinmei Shrine's spring festival. Three neighborhoods each have their own hikiyama float, and one neighborhood takes turns performing a play each year. Enjoy the passionate performances by the young actors.
