The annual "Kubota Inari Shrine Festival" is held every year. Daruma vendors and other street vendors set up stalls on the shrine grounds. Inari Shrine is said to have been enshrined in 807 (Daido 2). The festival, affectionately called "Oinari-san," was once held on February 24 of the lunar calendar. A "Hina Market" (said to have started in 1729) for preparing for the Doll Festival was held, drawing crowds from not only nearby areas but also Ibaraki Prefecture.
