蔦七沼の中で最も大きな蔦沼は、この地域の景観を作った岩屑なだれの発生源である赤倉岳の景色を望むのに最高の場所。紅葉期の早朝の景色でも知られていて、別格な知名度と人気を博している。蔦沼を含めて、散策路に綴られた6つの沼はそれぞれの特徴を持っていて、多様な風情が見飽きない。山肌一面の大崩落によって作り出された複雑な地形にサステイナブルな生態系が展開されていて湿地から森へと移行する紅葉の景観が楽しめる。
