At Koiwai Farm in Shizukuishi-cho, Iwate Prefecture — a sprawling, nature-rich farm — cherry blossoms typically reach peak bloom from mid to late April. Against the backdrop of the majestic Mt. Iwate with its remaining snow, Edo Higan cherry trees can be seen standing serenely in the green pastures. Within the Josho barn area, which contains nine nationally designated Important Cultural Properties, approximately 90 Somei Yoshino bloom in unison, offering a charming view of historic barns framed by cherry blossoms.
