Along the "Shingen Dyke," said to have been built by Takeda Shingen over many years, is now maintained as "Shingen Dyke Park," a relaxing place for citizens. In spring, the city tree—cherry blossoms—come to full bloom, attracting many visitors. Lighting is performed to coincide with the best viewing period. Hanami at Akasakadai General Park (Dragon Park), about a 15-minute walk from Shingen Dyke Park, is also recommended. *Just before the "Omiyukisan" festival held on April 15, parking within the park is not allowed due to setup.
