A wisteria festival held at Myofukuji Temple, where the wisteria reaches peak bloom from mid-April to early May. Located near JR Choshi Station, the temple's magnificent light-purple wisteria clusters — reaching 1.8 meters in length — attract flower-viewing visitors every year. The tree is over 800 years old and is nicknamed 'Garyu-no-Fuji' (Dragon Wisteria) for its roots, which spread as if a dragon is lying at rest. From 6 to 8 p.m., the wisteria is illuminated, creating an entirely different atmosphere from the daytime view.
