The blue ice pillars 'Ao-daru' are formed when water seeping from the Fukuchi Wall deep in the mountains of Fukuchi Onsen freezes. This natural phenomenon, which can only be seen deep in the mountains, is reproduced in the hot spring town by spraying stream water onto trees. During the day, the Ao-daru are beautiful with their transparent blue-white color, and at night they are illuminated, creating an even more fantastical atmosphere. The snow walking path surrounded by Ao-daru has limited-time events, allowing you to experience a fantastical space that cannot be experienced elsewhere.
