The Kiso Three Rivers, including the Nagara River, are among Japan's leading large rivers. People have suffered from floods for many years. This exhibition introduces the efforts of regions that built up self-defense measures such as constructing waju (levee-enclosed areas) and the development of today brought about by the results of many flood control projects, using aerial photographs, maps, historical materials, and taxidermy by high school student artists. It covers coexistence with the region's rivers, including waju, kasumi-tei (open levees), the history of flood control, river development around the museum, and the Nagara River Estuary Barrage. There is a corner with an enlarged old map on the floor and a photo corner. A photo contest will be held.
