A weeping cherry tree with a trunk circumference of 3m, height of 17m, and age of about 70 years, standing in a small village in the mountains of Komatsu City. It was planted in 1953 to wish for the happiness of Chieko Muranaka from this town, who married into Brazil at age 17. Known as the 'Chieko Cherry,' it is loved by many people and is the only tree in Ishikawa Prefecture selected as a healthy tree by the Japan Tree Doctor Association.
