In Handa City, Handa's float festival and spring festival are held annually from late March until the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Kamezaki Shiohi Matsuri on May 3 and 4. In 10 districts in the city, a total of 31 floats are pulled around their respective districts, and in 7 districts, children's portable shrines are paraded around the town, miko dance offerings are performed, and rice cake throwing is held. The luxurious floats, the heroic pulling, the masterful skills of karakuri puppets, lion dances, and Sanbaso. ※Dates vary by district, so prior confirmation is recommended.
