Maruyama Park is a famous cherry blossom spot where about 100 wild cherry trees bloom with the arrival of spring, dyeing the entire small hilltop park a vivid cherry blossom color. Every year from early to late April when peak viewing arrives, evening cherry blossom illumination is also held. Additionally, at the top of the hill is a statue of En no Gyoja, and at the back of the park is 'Himeishi Myojin', one of the historical site groups called 'Shikitsu Seven Wonders' connected to Yamatohime and Kukai.
