Commemorating the 130th anniversary of Takei Takeo's birth, the finale of the exhibition held nationwide since 2024 is held in Takei's hometown, Okaya. Takei coined the term 'doga' (children's pictures) and continued to draw 'pictures that touch children's hearts' from the Taisho to Showa eras. This exhibition introduces Takei's artistic career by genre. Original illustrations from a picture book co-authored with Tetsuko Kuroyanagi are also displayed. Through his creations, the thoughts Takei wanted to convey are exhibited along with poems, allowing visitors to appreciate Takei Takeo's timeless worldview.
