Kotohiki Park, included in Setonaikai National Park, is also designated as a National Scenic Beauty. About 200 Yoshino cherry and other cherry trees bloom in unison, heralding the arrival of spring. The cherry blossoms and over 2,000 old pine trees create a wonderful contrast of pink and green. Every year from late March to early April, during the cherry blossom festival, paper lanterns are set up, allowing visitors to enjoy fantastical night cherry blossoms. Around Kotoji Pond, cherry blossoms, azaleas, wisteria, and sasanqua flowers color the seasons. To get there, taking a shared bus from JR Kanonji Station is recommended. Tell the driver and you can go to the park entrance.
