An exhibition focusing on "Hokusai Manga," the picture book by Katsushika Hokusai, a representative of Japanese art, which contains thousands of sketches of people and daily life, animals and plants, landscapes, ghosts and yokai, legends, and more from the Edo period. This time, the "Hokusai Manga," which has been bound with thread as a Japanese book, is unbound page by page and exhibited in a structure by each volume. Through the "Hokusai Manga" in a form different from usual, freed from the book format, the exhibition introduces changes in production periods and depictions, sequences of compositions, repetition of motifs, expressions spanning pages, and more.
