Aoshima, a 1.8 km-circumference island floating on Lake Koyama, Japan's largest pond. The lakeshore and the island are connected by the pedestrian-only Aoshima Bridge, allowing visitors to walk across. About 500 cherry trees of various types, mainly Yoshino cherries, are planted on the island, and in spring, Aoshima is dyed beautiful cherry blossom colors.
