Zenjūji Island is Japan's largest uninhabited island in a river. It is located about 30 km from the mouth of the Yoshino River and covers about 500 ha. The island contains the boundary between Awa City Ichiba Town and Yoshinogawa City Kawashima Town. Known as a filming location, it is colored by vast maintained fields and seasonal flowers. Five submersible bridges (sunken bridges) connect to it, and there is a pilgrimage route leading from the 10th to the 11th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Enjoy the sight of blooming rapeseed flowers.
