An exhibition introducing swords related to Aizu at the keep of Tsuruga Castle. About 40 swords will be unveiled, including Izumi-no-kami Kanesada famous for being beloved by the Shinsengumi vice-commander, Miyoshi Nagamichi recognized by the Edo shogunate as Saijo O-Wazamono, swords forged by excellent Aizu domain swordsmiths, and precious swords related to successive lords of Aizu Castle including the Aizu Matsudaira family. Through swords called the soul of samurai, you can glimpse the spirit and history of Aizu samurai who served the shogunate with loyalty from the beginning to the end of the samurai era.
