Yamaguchi was once built imitating Kyoto, with the Ichinosaka River flowing through the city likened to Kyoto's Kamo River. About 200 Yoshino cherry trees bloom in profusion along both banks of this Ichinosaka River, creating an old-fashioned atmosphere. During the blooming period, illumination is also held, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of night cherry blossoms different from those during the day.
