A moss phlox festival held to coincide with the moss phlox blooming period at Shibazakura Hill in Hitsujiyama Park. The planting area of moss phlox boasts one of the largest scales in Kanto, with more than 400,000 moss phlox of 10 varieties blooming in full glory in a planting area of about 17,600 square meters. During the period, events including Chichibu Marche where local gourmet food and specialty products are sold, sheep shearing demonstrations, horse-riding experiences, and brass band concerts by high school students from the Chichibu region will be held. In the park, in addition to moss phlox, about 1,000 cherry trees, tulips, and other spring flowers also reach their best viewing.
