Mt. Kureha is a small hill 70 meters above sea level located in western Toyama City. About 500 cherry trees of various kinds, including Somei Yoshino and Edo Higan, are planted there. The view from the summit, which overlooks the city, is especially wonderful, with the snow-capped Tateyama Mountain Range spreading in the distance. The cherry blossoms are typically at their best from late March to early April.
