Kutani ware kiln Kamide Choemon Kiln holds its traditional Golden Week Kiln Festival, offering prayers to the kiln fire at the heart of pottery-making and celebrating craftsmanship and its traditions. The workshop is opened for visitors to experience artisan handwork, and the charms of Kutani ware can be felt through various events. Features include Choremon Nyumon (introductory experience with glazers and potter's wheel artists), special sales of inevitable production seconds and kiln-festival-exclusive items, and food and goods from wonderful vendors from across Japan.
