A famous cherry blossom spot once said to be 'the world's number one long embankment for 10 ri', with 6,000 cherry trees lined up. Although the appearance was lost due to the floods of 1966-67 (Showa 41-42) and river improvement works, restoration is progressing, and currently you can see about 2,000 cherry trees along the Kaji River. When in full bloom, a cherry blossom tunnel appears and many people gather to enjoy the bustling scene. On event days, various events are held, and night cherry blossom illumination is also conducted to coincide with the blooming period.
