A privately owned cherry blossom garden in Haradani in northern Kyoto. Successive owners enjoyed tending the trees and cherry blossoms in the farm, and as the reputation spread by word of mouth, they began opening to the public only during the cherry blossom season. The cherry garden named Haradani-en is called the hidden village of Kyoto's cherry blossoms, and within its approximately 4,000-tsubo grounds, about 450 cherry trees of more than 20 varieties are planted. Among them, the weeping red cherry trees, including about 65 trees over 70 years old, total about 250 trees that reach their best viewing time from late March to mid-April, covering the garden in deep pink. From mid-April to late April, late-blooming cherries reach full bloom, allowing visitors to enjoy a quiet, luxurious spring for an extended period.
