With Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, approximately 500,000 moss phlox plants — the largest display in the greater Tokyo area — bloom in spectacular fashion at the Mt. Fuji Moss Phlox Festival. Under the theme 'The Best Seat of Spring,' visitors can take in the breathtaking scenery of a carpet of moss phlox in every direction, woven together with Mt. Fuji. Seven varieties bloom in pink, red, purple, and white — including McDaniel Cushion and Autumn Rose — alongside various other spring flowers such as anemone, primrose, and azalea.
