An Edo Higan cherry tree, designated as a prefectural natural monument, with a lifespan of over 600 years—the earliest blooming single cherry tree in Fukushima Prefecture. It is an old tree that can be seen even from the distant Kuji River. With a height of 18 meters and a trunk circumference of 6.5 meters, powerful branches extend from the thick trunk. Since ancient times, it has given peace to people on the road, and farmers have observed the swelling of its buds to prepare for farm work, serving the role of a farmer's calendar and being beloved. Photogenic landscapes with the Suigun Line passing right by the cherry tree have been quietly attracting attention.
