The Fukuda Art Museum commemorates the milestone 100th year of the Showa era with an exhibition of 100 carefully selected works painted during the Showa period. Through masterpieces left by painters such as Takeuchi Seihō, Yokoyama Taikan, Higashiyama Kaii, and Sugiyama Yasushi, who were active during the turbulent 64-year Showa era from 1926 to 1989, it introduces Showa art that has completely different expressions in each period. This is a must-see exhibition where the wind of that special era, full of ambition and passion, blows through Arashiyama.
