In Sakuragawa City, Ibaraki Prefecture, many wild cherry trees grow naturally on Mt. Takamine and other mountains. Wild cherry blossoms bloom slightly later than Yoshino, and the pale pink blossoms and red buds overlap with the bright green budding period of the trees, creating a patchwork-like view. Unlike the beauty of Yoshino, natural cherry blossoms have many variations, with each tree being a one-of-a-kind flower in the world. Why not enjoy the cherry trees of Sakuragawa, also known as the Hundred-colored Cherries of Isobe.
